Boats are believed to have been used since ancient times. The Oldest recovered boat is the Pesse canoe which was exhibited in the Drents Museum in Assen, Netherlands. This canoe is a hollowed tree trunk from a Pinus sylvestris and is believed to have been constructed between 8200 and 7600 B.C.
Today, Remote Control Boats and toy boats are available for children and adult hobbyists alike.
