Steel VS Concrete

I was wondering if those steel buildings would be sturdy enough against earthquakes and other calamities in comparison with concrete ones. a lot of large buildings like warehouses and some shopping malls are made of steel. Do steel buildings costs lesser to build than concrete building? Lastly, are steel buildings more energy efficient than concrete ones? these are just a few questions that course through my head when i see steel buildings.
