Computers like cellphones are more of a need than a want these days. It is a must have for all walks of life. I see students as young as those in grade schools bring laptops to school everyday, teens, young adults, and even the senior citizens are very techie these days. As for me I really prefer desktop computers because I can repair it by myself and upgrading parts and software is can be done in just a matter of minutes. In laptops, repairs are mostly done by experience technicians or sometimes send to the manufacturers to be repaired. Upgrading your laptop's parts can be done yourself if you have the technical know hows.
However, the best things about laptops and other hand held personal computers is that it is handy. Work while having coffee, go online and post status messages on facebook, read the current news and other stuff provided you have internet connection. The latest laptops are so powerful that they may even rival the power and speed of a Desktop Computer but it would cost more.
