A Chicago native, Clemens invented the hand dryers in 1948. Over the years, the dryer has had minimal upgrades, but some hand dryers have been upgraded to no touch sensor. In 1987, World dryer released the first sensor activated hand dryer. Up to this date, hand dryers are still in use by millions of people all over the world.
