An article at the wtop.com site entitled "Survey shows Russian museums missing 50,000 items" reported that a government commissioned audit showed that around 50,000 items are missing in different museums in Russia. The loss, it is reported, includes weapons, jewelry, clothes, pre-revolutionary medals, religious icons, silverware and works of art. The Hermitage Museum in Russia alone reports a loss which costs around $5 million.
These thieves should find a job.
