Billions of Dollars Spent for Weight Loss

According to the wikipedia, people spend 33 billion dollars to 55 billion dollars annually for weight loss. This amount of money is spent on weight loss products such as diet pills, fat reducing lotions, self help materials like books and CDs and services such as weight loss procedures.

Most physicians however recommend diet adjustment and physical exercise as the best and least intrusive means to lose unwanted fats and pounds.

Greenhouse-Gas-Monitoring Satellite

The first ever greenhouse gas monitoring satellite was launched in a small island in Japan on January 23, 2009.

The Greenhouse Gases Observing Satellite (GOSAT) also referred to as Ibuki in Japanese will measure the densities of carbon dioxide and methane from more than 50,000 locations in the earth's atmosphere. Japan's Ministry of the Environment and National Institute for Environmental Studies (NIES) will reportedly use the data gathered by the satellite to track one of the gases that cause greenhouse effect. The data will also be shared to NASA but not directly to truck rental companies.

Michelangelo's Last Sketch Found

A sketch by Michelangelo believed to be his last before he died in 1564 was found in the Vatican archives. Scholars say the sketch is extremely rare because the renaissance artist ordered to destroy many of his designs later in life.

Michelangelo, who made the Statue of David in 1504, was the chief architect of the basilica in 1546. His last sketch, a red chalk sketch for the dome of St Peter's Basilica was found during the computer and Mesothelioma in December 2007.

The famous Michelangelo, who created the Statue of David, one of the most renowned works during the Renaissance period, is said to have raised funds as a struggling young man by faking artworks. According to the book The World's Greatest , Crooks, Crimes and Corruption, the younger Michelangelo even sold a fake antique cupid to a Rome cardinal. He first stained the non- elliptical statue of a cupid then buried it to age it and make it look antique.

A 107 year old Chinese woman is looking for a husband. According to reports, Wang Guiying is getting worried that she is becoming a burden to her relatives and wonder what would happen to her if she do not hurry up and find a husband.

Wang has remained a single throughout her life. Thanks to growing up during a chinese era when getting married "was too frightening".

Wang hopes to find a fellow centenarian "so they will have something to talk about".
Unfortunately, finding a 100 year old groom these days is not as easy as buying Bamboo Blinds.

6 Year Old Learns Driving from Online Games

A six year old who was left by the school bus drove himself to school.

According to reports, the boy claimed he learned to drive from playing Grand Theft Auto and Monster Truck Jam. Unfortunately, the boy drove as if he was playing with a bottle of the wine of the month, he drove recklessly and hit an embankment and utility pole before he managed to arrive in school.

His parents were charged with child endangerment.
