Some tiny animals like bookworms may feast on old papers and paper business gifts but some insects eat poisonous plants on purpose. Some caterpillars, for example, are known to eat a poisonous plant called milkweed. Milkweed does not kill them but it makes them poisonous so birds won't eat them.
