Paganism and Halloween

Some people who celebrate halloween are christians and they even go to church but why do some religious groups insist that Halloween is a pagan practice? The history of halloween explains:

Halloween originated from the festival of the celtic pagans. The festival of Samhain, as it is called, and is celebrated every 31st of October is the time when the ancient celts believed that the dead become dangerous for the living causing sickness and damaged crops.

One of the features of the Samhain festival that modern halloween still observes is the wearing of mask and costumes. Today, sales of children and even of lingerie costume boost up before the Halloween celebration.
